Easy ticketing thru headout; rounded and great experience on Red decker. Recommend to start with this and then deep dive to learn more with targeted visits to sites of your interest.

Tony, vores chauffør, var fantastisk med sine ekstra kommentarer, mens vi kørte rundt, og det var nemt at finde ud af, hvornår vi skulle af og på, da personalet uddelte flyers med tidspunkterne, og det var virkelig nyttigt på en travl dag, som var en helligdag, og hvor der også lå et krydstogtskib i havnen.

Det er en god måde at få et hurtigt overblik over byen på og derefter vælge, hvad man vil bruge tiden på. Kan varmt anbefale Cascades Female Factory. Tag på en rundvisning. Gå ikke 'havnevandringen' fra kasinoet tilbage til Sandy Bay ... det er slet ikke en havnevandring.

Red route

Hop on the Red route and dive into the heart of Hobart at your own pace, where adventure awaits at every turn! As you settle into the red double-decker bus, you get to choose from 20 different stops to soak in the city's most sought-after attractions. You’ll catch breathtaking views of kunanyi/Mt Wellington, its majestic peak often capped with snow or kissed by clouds. Take a peek at the Maritime Museum of Tasmania, where seafaring tales echo through its exhibits, or delve into history at the Hobart Convict Penitentiary, where the stories of the past come alive. With a delightful audio commentary in eight languages, your exploration is as informative as it is fun.

First bus: 10am from stop #A (Travel Centre)
Last bus: 3pm from stop #A (Travel Centre)
Frequency: Every 60 mins

Accessibility

This experience is wheelchair and pram/stroller accessible.
For ramp access, it is recommended to board at Bus Stop A outside the Tasmanian Travel and Information Centre (corner of Elizabeth and Davey Street).
Your guide dogs are welcome at the venue.

Additional information

Luggage storage is available inside Brooke Street Pier, on its lower level. However, large items like suitcases cannot be accommodated on the bus due to space limitations.
