Smuk udstilling Ud over flyene og rumfærgen er der mange fortællinger om krigsøjeblikke, hvor Intrepid var til stede. Interessant er også alle de afsnit, hvor der fortælles om de politiske og sociale situationer under den kolde krig og i Vietnam.

Et museum til en fornuftig pris, hvor man kan bruge 90 minutter på at vandre rundt på et hangarskib fra 2. verdenskrig/vietnam, forskellige fly, den ikoniske Concorde og en ubåd. Det var en ekstra oplevelse at tale med tidligere ansatte, der tjente på skibet. En skam, at den guidede tur med Concorde kostede ekstra. Alt i alt vil jeg anbefale det, hvis du har tid.

Det, jeg elskede ved min oplevelse på Intrepid-museet, var, hvor stor Intrepid var. Det var fantastisk, hvad det indeholdt af modeller. Fly og helikoptere var et vidunder. Det, der skilte sig ud for mig, var sømanden, som forklarede meget af det, skibet gjorde under krigen. Jeg nød virkelig, at han havde et billede af sig selv fra krigen. At finde ud af, at han kun var 19 år gammel, da han startede, var overvældende. Jeg ville gerne have haft et foredrag om Intrepid og det personale, der opererede det under krigen. Jeg var ikke klar over, hvor lille den var indeni, da jeg selv er en stor person. Det var lidt svært at manøvrere, men det er min skyld. Jeg havde taget mit barnebarn med, som er inden for autismespektret. Descend through the museum, and each floor unveils a different facet of contemporary art. Video installations might immerse you in another world, while the sculptures demand your attention. The Whitney Biennial is a smorgasbord of artistic expression, featuring artists from marginalized communities who explore what art means in the 21st century.
