Aftalen er kl. 9, men faktisk venter vi til kl. 9.30 på, at guiden finder os. Da vi forlod klosteret, skulle vi igen stå i kø til kirken. Guiden var venlig, men jeg var ikke særlig interesseret. Jeg har været på mange guidede ture mange steder, og det her var ikke den bedste.

Our tour guide Federico was very informative, kind and patient with us as I had some mobility issues with long walks and stairs. He explained the Portuguese history pertaining to the Jeronimos Monastery in great detail making the tour very interesting. He was excellent and we highly recommend him.

Excelente experiencia. El guía muy ameno y bien infornado nos dio detalles muy interesentes del lugar. Nos permitió conocer el contexyo historico del monasterio y otros lugares cercanos en Belem. El lugar es maravilloso. Imperdible para toda la gente que visite Lisboa.

It was not obvious who our guide was. Or where to meet him. We didn't meet until 9.15 despite arriving 8.45. Our ticket stressed we had to be there 9am but the monastery didn't open until 9.30. Sold as a 2 hour tour. It lasted an hour. Then found that our ticket didn't include the church A lot of money to visit a monastery. we liked our guide and he taught us other things about Portugal and its history though thought there would be a bit more about the monastery and the monks who lived there and why they left.

While the tour is in English, the group can also request a Spanish-guided tour (subject to availability).
The Monastery is closed between 9:30am and 1pm on October 24th and December 5th.
