Selve Louvre-oplevelsen bliver i sidste ende udmattende. Det er vigtigt at få en mere erfaren person til at guide dig til museets must-sees for at få mest muligt ud af dit besøg.

Guiden kom til tiden og var meget venlig. Desværre er der altid et par forsinkede gæster og flere andre guider, der venter samme sted, hvilket gør det sent at starte turen. Og selv om grupperne får fortrinsret til at komme ind, når der er mange grupper, må vi alle vente... Indenfor foreslog guiden, at vi lagde vores ting i garderoben ... mere ventetid. Da turen først var begyndt, var der i skoleferien altid for mange mennesker. Så guiden er rigtig god, men hvis du har mulighed for det, så besøg Paris uden for juleperioden og skoleferien!

Why should you visit the Louvre?

Once a Royal Palace, the Louvre was later converted into a public museum at the end of the French Revolution. Today, the Louvre houses one of the most expansive art collections in the world, with pieces from all periods. Notably, the museum has pieces from the Egyptian civilization, the Mesopotamian civilization, the Greek and Roman civilizations, along with pieces of Islamic art. Visiting the Louvre allows you to see all these art pieces, including Da Vinci’s most famous work – the Mona Lisa. If you enjoy history and classical art, make sure you visit the Louvre at least once while in Paris.

Guided tour of the Louvre

Once you join the 2-3-hour tour, you will be guided through all the sections of the Louvre by your tour guide. The guide will narrate all the details relevant to each section while highlighting the most notable pieces. See the beautiful Venus de Milo, the Winged Victory, the great French neoclassical paintings, and the masterpieces of the Italian Renaissance. Discover hidden treasures as well as crowns studded with precious jewels, ancient Egyptian antiquities, sublime Greek statues, and much more. Once the tour is over, you are free to stay and explore for as long as you wish.
