Guiden gav indsigtsfulde kommentarer om historie, kunst og kunstnere, mens vi besøgte forskellige gallerier på museet. Hendes bemærkninger på engelsk var meget forståelige og lette at høre med de hviskende headsets, som vores gruppe havde på under den 90 minutter lange rundvisning. Vores guide svarede beredvilligt på spørgsmål under rundvisningen. Da vi var med på turen, da museet åbnede kl. 10.00, undgik vi den lange kø for at komme ind. Mødestedet for turens begyndelse var nemt at finde.

Selv om jeg havde bestilt turen på engelsk, var den faktiske tur på engelsk-spansk. Det var den eneste fejl! Billetreservationen var meget nem, og vores guide Miguel var venlig og vidende om museet, han gav os en masse nyttige oplysninger og gjorde turen meget interessant. Alt i alt var det en rigtig god oplevelse!

Den guidede tur var fremragende. Vores guide Juan var en fantastisk fyr. Han forklarede i detaljer de mest berømte malerier, fortalte historier bag dem såvel som for kunstnerne. Han gjorde min fødselsdag uforglemmelig. Tusind tak til Juan for denne rejse. Prado-museet er en skat. Det er helt sikkert et besøg værd.

A day with art at Prado
Occupying an 18th-century Neo-classical building, the Museo del Prado is home to over 20,000 works of art that include around 7,500 paintings, 8,000 drawings, 4,800 prints, and 1,000 sculptures and other works of art and historical documents. Some of the greats whose works adorn the Prado walls are Francisco Goya, El Greco, Diego Velazquez, Hieronymus Bosch, Peter Paul Rubens, and Titian. Thousands of other paintings from the Renaissance and Baroque period are also on display at the Museo del Prado.
