Andi som min chauffør og Riska som min guide var meget venlige og hjertelige mennesker. Riskas entusiasme gjorde os energiske på hele turen, og Andi sørgede for, at vi var i sikkerhed, selvom vi rejste kl. 2 om natten i en ukendt by. Jeg elskede turen og arrangementet.

Havde virkelig stor oplevelse trekking Mount Batur. Vores chauffør, Bagonk, hentede os til tiden kl. 2 om natten og havde en venlig samtale, hvor han forklarede os alt. På vej tilbage tog han os med til kaffeplantagen, og det var endnu en god oplevelse. Vores treak-guide var Rini, og hun gjorde også et fantastisk stykke arbejde. Hun var tålmodig nok til at tage os med til toppen for at se solopgangen. Hun hjalp og guidede os til at gennemføre trekket sikkert og med succes. Den samlede oplevelse var virkelig god! Tak til jeres team

1. All the guides were observed to be sarting the Trek at a very fast pace , literally ensuring that many were forced to opt for a motorbike ride to complete the Trek 2. The breakfast at the summit could be improved by providing a hot drink as well , 3. The guide should spend a few minutes at the start briefing the group about what exactly to ecpect

Your experience

Chasing a sunrise, like no other

Mount Batur, apart from holding religious significance, is a natural masterpiece that you can hike on. But for that, you'll need to go to bed around 6pm the evening before. Your adventure begins when everything around you is in deep slumber, with a convenient transfer to the trekking spot in a shared vehicle. Gear on and hop off, you have a long way to cover. You'll trek 2 hours up to the top, getting way too many steps in, and building an appetite along the way. Your trusty English-speaking guide accompanies you all the way, letting you in on all of the region's history, stories, and more.

When you finally do get to the top, suddenly, time and everything else stand still, in wait. The majestic sun slowly, poetically, and like a work of art, rises into the sky, from Mt Agung's silhouette, above Lake Batur. Also, as you look around at Mt. Abang and Mt. Rinjani, as they say, everything makes sense. Enjoy a yummy breakfast cooked over volcano steam before you head down to your ride.

This trek is not recommended for those aged 65 years and above, and those aged 2 years and under.

Hotel transfers are available in these regions: Denpasar, Ubud, Sanur, Seminyak, Canggu, Legian, Kuta, Nusa Dua, and Jimbaran.
The hike is long: 1.5 hours one-way. And it gets chilly – the summit temperature ranges between 8° to 15° C
