In another room, play alongside Mozart by choosing instruments from around the world to create your version of the masterpiece Eine Kleine Nachtmusik.
Explore at your own pace with interactive exhibits like Mozart's Genius, where music and lights pulse creating the illusion of being in Mozart's mind.
Did You Know? Mozart composed some of his greatest works, including The Magic Flute, in the very building that now houses Mythos Mozart.

Ganz starke "Ausstellung", obwohl es das Wort nicht ganz trifft. Wir waren absolut beeindruckt und berührt. Sehr zu empfehlen. Das Personal: Supernett und freundlich. Dieses Erlebnis hat einen großen Anteil dazu beigetragen, dass unser Wienbesuch unvergesslich ist. Danke!

Mythos Mozart isn't your typical museum visit. It's a 60-minute, multi-sensory journey that transports you straight into the world of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Housed in the building where Mozart spent his final year and composed masterpieces like The Magic Flute, Mythos Mozart uses cutting-edge technology to bring history to life. Your experience begins with a playful twist – have your photo transformed into a classic portrait before entering the first exhibit.

Five rooms, five experiences

Your exploration begins with a walk through five distinct themed rooms. The first room, Requiem: Mozart's Death, is bathed in the light of 1,500 LED candles, the haunting melody of Requiem drifting into your soul. Vienna 1791: Mozart's City whisks you back in time with a 360° panorama of 18th-century Vienna. In World Music: Mozart's Little Night Music, choose instruments to accompany Mozart's Eine Kleine Nachtmusik. In Genius: Mozart Composing, thousands of synaptic connections represented by light and music create an immersive experience that evokes the power of his imagination. Finally, Magic Flute: Mozart Forever presents a digital art installation built with AI, promising a lasting impression of the composer's genius.

Your guide dogs are welcome at the venue.

Additional Information

Facilities: lockers, restroom, cloak room, free Wi-Fi and changing rooms.
To keep things clutter-free, please leave umbrellas, pointy walking sticks (we have regular ones in the cloakroom if needed!), backpacks bigger than a sheet of paper (A4), bulky bags/packages (larger than A3), and wet clothes in the cloakroom.
Children under the age of 14 years must be accompanied by an adult.
