Vores tur til Athen var helt vidunderlig. Den eneste grund til, at jeg ikke har givet den topkarakter, var den usammenhængende organisation for handicappede. Afstanden mellem taxaholdepladserne og barnevognene til elevatoren var for lang til, at nogen med gangbesvær kunne nå den, og selv hvis man havde adgang til en kørestol, er det op ad en stejl skråning på smukt, glat marmor. Handicappedes adgang til det vidunderlige arkæologiske nationalmuseum var igen vanskelig mellem taxa og dør. Jeg må sige, at alle, som vi kom i kontakt med, var venlige og hjælpsomme.Susan

Vi ankom til den tidlige åbning kl. 9 og kunne komme ind fra kl. 8.45. Det var vi glade for, for da vi var klar til at gå ned, var der masser af mennesker på vej op. Vi var så glade for, at vi tog turen for at gå rundt og se, hvad der var sket før os.Joanna

Due to Greek Orthodox Good Friday observances, archaeological sites will have adjusted opening hours. Specifically, on Good Friday (3rd May 2024), sites will be open from noon until 6:00 pm. Orthodox Holy Saturday (4th May 2024) hours will be from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.

The Acropolis Museum offers free admission on March 6 (Melina Mercouri Day), March 25 (National Holiday), May 18 (International Day of Museums), and October 28 (National Holiday).
