Meget dejlig oplevelse! Vores guide Noi var bogstaveligt talt DEN BEDSTE person, såååå entusiastisk og sjov. Jeg elskede hans nordiske tips og historier. Chaufføren, Arthur, var utrolig og holdt os sikre på de islandske vinterveje. Vi sang traditionelle nordiske sange og så nordlys ved alle stop. Til sidst fik vi varm kakao, og Noi viste os planeter og stjernebilleder. Turen rundt om den gyldne cirkel var så smuk! Vi elskede Gullfoss-vandfaldet, og til sidst stoppede vi på en hestefarm for at hilse på hinanden - super sødt! Den eneste ting er, at vi havde et par problemer med busstoppestedssystemet (vores billet viser busstoppested 6 og at være der 30' tidligere, hvilket vi gjorde, men afhentningen skete aldrig. Vi ringede til hovedkontoret, og de var meget hurtige til at omfordele vores tur). Det ville også være rart, hvis vi kunne have lidt mere stoptid i nogle attraktioner, da sneen fik os til at bevæge os langsommere, jeg forstår, at vejret i Island ændrer sig på et øjeblik, men det ville være rarere at have lidt mere tid i parken osv. Men alt i alt var det en rigtig god oplevelse, som jeg klart vil anbefale!

See Iceland’s geological wonders

Hop aboard your tour bus and head into the enchanting wilderness of Iceland with an expert guide. As you enter Thingvellir National Park, prepare to be awestruck by stunning cliffs, meandering rivers, and deep gorges. Shortly after this, you will get a chance to visit one of the country’s most sought-after attractions, the Geysir Hot Springs. Here, you will see the Strokkur Geyser shooting steam and water high into the air every few minutes. Gullfoss Waterfall will be the final stop on the Golden Circle Tour, where you will see the glacial waters of the Hvítá River thunder down through the rugged canyon, dropping 32m in two stages. You’ll likely catch sight of the golden-hued spray that lent this waterfall its name.

A quest for the Aurora Borealis

After a break for dinner and time to explore Reykjavik, your guide will take you on a quest to find the elusive Northern Lights. They appear as a green arc with fuzzy edges. The bottom of the arc is sharp, while the upper edge is more blurred. Occasionally, the arc can become active and shift, creating a curtain-like effect. If you're lucky enough to spot the lights, you'll get instructions on setting up your camera to capture it. Upgrade your Golden Circle adventure with a stop at the unique Kerid Crater, then cozy up with hot chocolate as you search for the Northern Lights.

Dress in layers, wear comfy shoes, and pack a rain jacket, hat, and gloves for unpredictable weather.

Additional information

If you don’t see the Northern Lights on your tour, you can return for another tour at no additional cost. This offer is valid for 36 months, but refunds are not available for unsuccessful tours.
The Kerid Crater and hot chocolate tour is restricted to children aged 7 and under.
Winter months offer the best chance to see the Northern Lights and departure for the search is dependent on weather conditions.
