Vores guide var meget sød og vidende. Det, jeg ikke kunne lide, var, at der stod, at det var en 2-timers tur, og at den skulle starte kl. 8.25, hvilket den gjorde, men noget af det, jeg glædede mig mest til, var kuppelbestigningen. Godt, lidt uorganiseret og en masse spildtid. Men det var godt. Jeg gik på opdagelse på egen hånd, for historien kan googles eller læses på biblioteket, de fleste har allerede læst og hørt og kommer så for at SE den. Rundviseren skal fokusere på at få folk indenfor, tage dem med til forskellige bibelske statusser og områder, så de kan tage billeder. Dette er ikke en historietime, vi havde kun 1-2 timer, men vores guide brugte 40 minutter på at fortælle os historier og historie udenfor og ved døren, mens jeg bifalder hendes viden, men dette er ikke en historietime, 6 af os havde andre ture planlagt lige bagefter, så vi forlod turen midtvejs for at udforske basilikaen på egen hånd, herunder gravområderne nedenunder.

Vi havde en uforglemmelig tur. Selv om vi troede, at vi havde bestilt en audiotur, fortrød vi absolut ikke den guidede tur. Alexandra er en meget entusiastisk guide med stor viden om Peterskirken og Vatikanet. Hendes engelsk er meget godt! Kan også varmt anbefales til besøgende, der har været i Peterskirken før!

I had an incredible experience on the St. Peter’s Basilica Guided Tour. Our guide was absolutely amazing and extremely knowledgeable about the rich history and architecture of the basilica. Dette var min første Headout-oplevelse, og den var A+! Først og fremmest var vores guide, Brigitta, vidunderlig! Så mange informationer og sjove fakta, hun var også fuld af humor og sjove kommentarer, det var så dejligt! Hun fik os virkelig til at føle os tæt på Rom, Vatikanet og deres historie. Hun var virkelig nem at tale med, og det betyder meget! Bestigningen var ikke svær, hele 551 trin. Der var mange mennesker på toppen, men det er, hvad der sker med store turiststeder. Vores tur blev så meget bedre, fordi vi havde denne dag i Vatikanet!
