Super arkæologisk sted, det er fantastisk at kunne komme til et. Det er fantastisk at kunne komme til sådan et sted og se de renoveringer, der foregår, og nogle steder bliver der stadig udgravet. Men man skal betale en ekstra entré for at se en anden del af det arkæologiske område, og det er lidt ærgerligt, når man tænker på, at parken i forvejen koster over 20 euro, så man skal betale 8 euro ekstra! Der burde være en global pris, og det er det, med adgang overalt! Og det burde forklares bedre på hjemmesiden!

Det var en fantastisk og virkelig speciel oplevelse. Behandlingen af Pompeji-ruinerne fra personalets side var fantastisk og meget tæt på. Vi ser frem til at vende tilbage og fortsætte med at nyde dette historiske vidunder.

Fantastisk og velbevaret sted. Eneste problem er, at kort ikke stemmer overens med gader, da kort viser navne, mens gader henviser til position. Det tager lidt tid at finde ud af, men alt i alt er det et fantastisk sted, som 100% skal besøges. Personalet er yderst hjælpsomme og fulde af viden

utroligt. overvældende som forventet. jeg vil stærkt anbefale at tage af sted i mere end en dag, da jeg og min partner (begge i rimelig form) var udmattede og ikke engang nåede rundt på hele stedet fra 10-16:00, med kun 30 minutters pause. Hvis du virkelig sætter pris på, hvad du ser, er det umuligt at se alt på en dag, men hvis du kun har 1 dag - stadig go!!!!!!! Vi kommer tilbage i fremtiden. Vi vil også spise vores picnic ved udsigtspunktet i stedet for ved bordene i den (gode) café - vi var ikke klar over, at den lå lige ved siden af os!

Vejret var ikke godt, men vi havde en fantastisk oplevelse på stedet. Vi så mange mennesker gå rundt og udforske. Jeg vil meget gerne tilbage en dag. Det regnede og var tåget.

Deeply ingrained in myth and history, Pompeii dates back to nearly 2,000 years ago. An ancient site, the town was unearthed in 1748 AD after the infamous eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 AD. Over here you can revel in the ancient glory of the Campania region forever immortalized by the volcanic debris, standing as a true testament of nature’s infinite existence.

Upon arrival in Pompeii make your way into the attraction where your adventure truly begins. With ancient ruins and age-old artifacts all around, and a skyline dominated by Mount Vesuvius, the visuals through this discovery are breathtaking. Ideally, you want to spend around 4 hours here, there’s plenty for you to see. Walk around the Forum, visit the Basilica or relax under the shade of a tree near the amphitheater, it’s your call. There are numerous frescos and statues spread over the town along with 25 street fountains, 4 public baths and many business buildings which paints an almost real picture of the town in its hay day. As you stroll through the cobbled streets you’ll find yourself looking at everything with a sense of wonder and amazement. After all, you’re in a place that is frozen in the fabric of time.

Your understanding of the ancient world is sure to change after you see how much we have in common with people who lived in the first century. From everyday objects to wine barrels, there’s a lot for you to see and discover on this tour.

What to bring

A moderate amount of walking is involved in this activity. Please wear comfortable shoes due to uneven terrain.
Full names are mandatory for Pompeii bookings. Double-check the names at checkout for a hassle-free entry. Be sure to bring a valid Photo ID with you to gain entry.

What's not allowed

Strict dress code: No discourteous clothing or shirtless attire is allowed inside Pompeii Archaeological Park.
Big dogs (above the weight 10kg and the height of 40cm) are not allowed into the venue. Guide dogs with the proper certification are welcome.

Accessibility

This experience is partially accessible by wheelchair and pram/strollers.
Choose safety and comfort: This experience is not the best fit for people with impaired mobility and cardiac issues.
Tickets to the ruins are free of charge for disabled people and a companion, to be purchased directly on-site.

Additional information

Facilities: cloakroom, luggage storage. Head to the Superiore Entrance to make use of the onsite luggage facilities.
The fee for the excavation sites of Pompeii is free for all first Sundays of the month.
