Pena Palace er meget lille. Vi klarede turen på bare 20 minutter. Der var så mange mennesker, at vi måtte stå i kø for at gå fra rum til rum. Parken så fin ud, men man skal gå langt for at komme rundt i den. Den anden mulighed er at tage en shuttlebus, som man skal betale for. Jeg synes, det er lidt for dyrt.

Billetsalget var fint. Det var nemt at booke, og billetterne kunne nemt overføres elektronisk. Paladset var interessant og værd at se, hvis man er i området. Indgangen var lidt besværlig, men ret velorganiseret.

Ved parkens indgang tog jeg shuttlen til slottet (da det var inkluderet i min billet). Men jeg indså, at der er en sti op til slottet, som kun ville tage ca. 15 minutter at gå, så jeg gik i stedet ned igen bagefter (mindre end 10 minutter ned ad bakke). Slottet var fabelagtigt, og mit eneste minus var, at de måske sælger for meget af hver plads, for ikke alene skal man stå i kø for at komme ind på slottet, men indenfor står man konstant i kø for at se hvert rum.

Det var meget smukt, rent og grønt her, selv om vi var der i begyndelsen af februar, luften var frisk, man kunne høre fugle overalt, uvirkeligt, som i et eventyr.

Pena Palace & Park

Please note that you will have to enter from the house tour entrance and not the main gate.
There is an expected wait time of 15-20 mins at the entrance/security.
Access to this monument is not authorized to private vehicles. The use of pedestrian trails or public transport is recommended.
Pena Palace is in Sintra, about 30 kilometers from Lisbon.
You can park your car in the historic center of Sintra or the peripheral car parks available. There are parking lots at the park entrance but may be limited depending on the number of visitors.
If the transport option is selected, the transfers included for this experience are between the main entrance of the Park and the Palace.
