Adgangen til slottet var hurtig og flydende. Men indholdet af audioguiden levede ikke op til mine forventninger. Den svarede på spørgsmålet "hvad ser jeg, og hvor finder jeg det", men ikke på "hvorfor det var nødvendigt, hvilke symboler skal jeg kigge efter, hvad er meningen bag, hvor unikke og populære var disse praksisser". Jeg synes ikke, det er værd at betale ekstra for det.

Parken. Det ville være godt, hvis man ikke kun stolede på audioguiden, men også satte skilte og information op på engelsk. Vi farede vild flere gange med audioguiden og fandt ikke alt.
Moorish Castle
Perched atop one of the peaks of Sintra Hills, this fortress was built to serve the purpose of a watchtower and observation post back when large swathes of Portugal were occupied by the Moors.
The power of controlling the castle has passed through many hands, including Portuguese, Vikings, and Christian rule. With Sintra’s importance dwindling, the castle was eventually abandoned. The castle offers astonishing views from all sides. Towards the south, view the great river Tejo to Arrabida, and to the west, Cabo da Roca, and to the north, Peniche. From the top of the castle, get to view the Pena Palace and the hills of Sintra. Today the castle is a National Monument and UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The dreamy treasure is well preserved as a UNESCO World Heritage site in Serra de Sintra, Portugal.
