About the rides
Mario Kart: Koopa's Challenge – Race through the vibrant tracks of the Mushroom Kingdom in this interactive, high-speed ride where you’ll dodge obstacles and use augmented reality to collect power-ups against Mario’s toughest enemies.
Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey™ – A 5-minute magical adventure that combines cutting-edge robotics and 4K visuals to make you feel like you're truly flying through Hogwarts, battling dragons, and facing Dementors along the way.
Hollywood Dream - The Ride: Backdrop – This thrilling backwards coaster shoots you up 43 meters into the sky, then sends you spiraling through unseen twists and turns for a heart-racing experience that’s full of surprises.
JAWS™ or Hollywood Dream - The Ride – Choose between the boat ride through shark-infested waters on JAWS™*,* where you will fight for survival in shark-infested waters, or Hollywood Dream - The Ride, a high-speed coaster with thrilling twists and blasting music of your choice.
What's not allowed
- Keep in mind sharp tools or objects, weapons, food and beverages (baby food is permitted), tripods, drones, glass bottles, and cans are not allowed on this experience. Pack wisely!
- Keep your camera tucked away - photography is strictly not allowed at some parts of the venue like during quizzes and in construction sites.
- Shutterbugs, take note: Flash photography is a no-go inside some areas of the venue.
- Re-entering Universal Studios Japan after leaving is not permitted.
- Due to venue restrictions, pets cannot tag along for this experience.
Accessibility
- It will be required for wheelchair users to switch to the seats in the attraction.
- It is required to get in touch with a crew member for guests with a wig, prosthetic limb, plaster cast, or a medical assistant tool.
- Choose safety and comfort: This experience is not the best fit for people with abnormal blood pressure, cardiac issues, back, neck, hip, or spinal disorders, motion sickness, vertigo, claustrophobia, acrophobia, and pregnant women.
- This experience is not suitable for people who have medical conditions that could be aggravated by loud sounds, fog, pitch-black darkness, strobes, and strong smells.

- To use the "Area Timed Entry Ticket" at Universal Studios Japan, you must reserve a specific time slot either before your visit or on the day you arrive.
- You can make this reservation through the Universal Studios Japan official app or directly at a kiosk located within the park.
- Guests cannot select their preferred entry time for each ride.
- Guests can only enter specific rides during the time shown on their Express Pass.
- Entry times to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter are randomly assigned by Universal Studios Japan. Be present during the assigned time to ensure entry.
- Attractions may be closed on certain days for maintenance.
- Operation of attractions is subject to change without prior notice or liability.
- Each Express Pass for closed attractions allows you to experience one of the designated attractions and reach out to on-site staff.
