Theresa mødte os præcist til tiden på mødestedet. Alt var yderst velorganiseret. Hun tog vores gruppe med til Peterskirkens kuppel først, og vi var der lige efter solopgang. Så krypterne, så basilikaen, så Vatikanmuseerne og til sidst Det Sixtinske Kapel. Det hele tog omkring 5 1/2 time. Kommunikationen var fremragende, og hun var et godt selskab med masser af information.

Vores guide var meget vidende og venlig. Det var en hektisk dag med mange eksterne faktorer, der ikke gik efter planen (improviseret messe i basilikaen, tekniske problemer med billetsalget osv.), og jeg er så glad for, at jeg havde min guide med til at hjælpe med at navigere igennem det. Det kunne have været en meget vanskelig dag, men med vores guide var vi i stand til at gennemføre hele turen og lære så meget. Det var en fantastisk oplevelse.

Explore St Peter’s Basilica

Join your guide at St. Peter’s Square and begin the ascent to the St Peter’s Basilica’s terrace. The architecture of the Basilica is of a unique Barocco style, and it houses many important cultural artifacts, such as various striking mosaics and Michelangelo's Pieta, all of which you can see for yourself. The top of Michelangelo’s Cupola is an ideal spot to see many of Rome’s most famous monuments. This will be followed by an exhaustive tour of St Peter’s Basilica and its fantastic Papal Sarcophagi, where you will get a chance to marvel at the Renaissance masterpieces of Bernini and Michelangelo!

Walk through the Vatican with VIP access and visit its many museums with fast-track entry. Benefit from the expertise of an English-speaking guide who will enhance your experience with in-depth knowledge

Later, skip the long lines and allow your guide to take you to the Sistine Chapel nestled in the Apostolic Palace, the official home of the Pope himself. Gaze at the legendary ceiling of the chapel and The Last Judgement that were painted by Michelangelo himself.

Please note that the climb to the Dome's top involves a substantial number of steps and requires a decent level of physical fitness. It is not recommended for people with heart/back conditions, mobility issues, or late-stage pregnancy.

Expect a long wait at security, especially during peak times. Patience is key, it could take up to an hour!
