Vi havde sådan en god oplevelse den dag! :) For det første var alt meget velorganiseret. Vi modtog en mail dagen før turen om, at den var fuldt booket, og at alle skulle ankomme til mødestedet tidligere for at få en god start. MS Gabriele var meget rummelig, der var borde at sidde ved og behagelige sæder. I baren i midten af båden kunne man altid købe drikkevarer og snacks. Den ene vej var ca. 2 timer, men vores guider gav hele tiden virkelig interessante oplysninger om hvalerne og Arktis. Vi fik også altid lov til at blive på dækket og observere turen. Når vi så endelig ankom til hvalsafaripladsen, var vores guide Martina sammen med os udenfor og instruerede alle i, hvor vi skulle kigge hen, hvad vi skulle kigge efter osv. Vi så masser af hvaler, nogle haler - det var virkelig, virkelig flot og en uforglemmelig oplevelse! :)

Oplevelsen er helt anderledes, end navnet antyder. Der er ikke noget stille ved denne tur - guiderne bruger højttalere, der er MEGET høje, der bliver talt meget, og selvom du ikke er interesseret, er du nødt til at høre alt, hvad de har at sige - ANC-hovedtelefoner er ikke så stærke. Vandet kan være meget uroligt, afhængigt af vejret, så vær advaret (det er selvfølgelig ikke arrangørernes skyld - bare en venlig påmindelse). Drikkevarer og mad på båden er naturligvis ret dyre, og du kan støde på grupper med deres egne guider, hvilket gør oplevelsen endnu mere støjende og irriterende. Men du kan faktisk se nogle hvaler i det fri, så det er en god ting :)

Seeing the whales in their natural habitat was surreal – they’re so majestic. The team was awesome, sharing so much interesting info and keeping the mood light and fun. It’s one of those experiences you’ll remember forever.

Start your silent whale-watching cruise with a morning splash from Tromso. Prepare for Arctic thrills as you glide through icy waters on an eco-boat, heading to Skjervoy for a whale-feeding party. The journey to the feeding grounds takes about 3 to 3.5 hours, offering ample time to soak in the views of frozen landscapes from spacious lounges. Onboard facilities include heated indoor saloons, Wi-Fi, and a selection of food and drinks are available for purchase. Drawing from their knowledge and experience, guides will explain the behaviors and characteristics of each species, discuss their migratory patterns, and highlight conservation efforts. A motor escape

Choose the motorboat for a faster adventure to the prime viewing spots, especially if you are short on time. The motorized catamaran will automatically go on silent mode as you approach the whale hotspots, providing minimum disturbance to the gentle giants. You can also opt for the small motorboat for an intimate experience that also includes drinks and snacks as a part of the tour.

Intimate encounter with majestic marine life

On reaching the feeding grounds at Skjervoy, you can spend about 1 to 1.5 hours observing these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. The success rate for spotting Humpback, Fin, Sperm whales, and/or orcas is over 95%, ensuring a memorable experience.
