Besætningens hjælp med at få mig og min partner ombord. Jeg skammede mig over, at vinduet på forreste række var lukket ved hoveddøren. Ellers var servicen eksemplarisk.

Det var nemt at bestille billetter, og det var nemt at finde afgangskajen. Krydstogtet var velorganiseret og gik til tiden. Vi nød oplevelsen i fulde drag, selvom vi måtte flytte plads for at undgå to nabopar, som ikke ænsede os og talte højlydt med hinanden. Det var i Aust Open-sæsonen, og da det var en varm dag, havde båden en hel del turister om bord. Ulempen ved dette var, at kommentarerne næsten ikke kunne høres. Men denne sejltur langs Yarra til Williamstown er en fantastisk måde at se de mange smukke kontor- og lejlighedsbygninger og de lineære parker langs floden ved Southbank, Docklands, Fishermens' Bend og Williamstown. Det er bare en fantastisk måde at se vores smukke by, flod og omgivelser på. Vi har tænkt os at gøre det igen en dag.

It was our first time taking this ferry. I was thrilled by the very nice and helpful onsite team, as well as the ferry team. It was very memorable time for me and my boy. I will definitely recommend to friends!

It was easy from booking the tickets on line to finding the departure point and boarding the ferry. The ferry crew were friendly and informative. The whole trip was lovely.

We were the only ones on the cruise! Great service. It arrived 15 minutes late- we were getting a bit panicky but needn't have worried. Definitely worth doing.

You'll not want this ferry to hurry

Some ways to travel are simply better. This stands especially true for the 1hr ferry transfer between Melbourne and Williamstown. Apart from being super convenient and comfortable, the ferry transfer offers spectacular views of Australia's favorite coastline. You'll come across the mighty, like the Westgate Bridge, and the cool, like the 135+-year-old ship Polly Woodside.

If you're overdue on a relaxed day out, exploring an old coastal town, Williamstown might just be what you need. You could take a self-guided heritage walk to visit iconic spots like the Timebell Tower or the old Customs House or relax at the beach. Chill at the waterfront cafes and slowly head to Port Philip Bay. Pause to admire the sunset, before you hop on a ferry back to Melbourne City.

In too much love with the river?

It's perfectly okay if you just want to relive the hour immediately afterward and skip exploring the lands. Opt for a round trip and make this a 2-hour cruise. And hey, click all those photos you might have missed the first time around because you were awestruck.
