Your Experience
Leave your worries behind in Milan and head into the rich Italian countryside. Hop aboard the coach, sit back and watch the street lights disappear along with the traffic as you proceed towards the coast. Watch Mother Nature unfurl as your guide shares facts, history, and highlights of the regions you are going to visit in Cinque Terre. The coastal drive comes to an end at Manarola. Here you can venture around the vineyards, explore the piers where fishing boats line up on the shore or watch the tourists jump into the sea from the rocks of the harbor. You even have some time to take a dip in the water yourself or go on a tour of the nearby vineyards at your own expense.
Before lunch, you will board a train to Monterosso al Mare, the largest of the five villages in the area. Feel free to explore the village and its beautiful cafes, panoramic beaches, scenic squares and more. Dine at one of the local restaurants and indulge in the local flavor that this region is famous for. After lunch, you will start the final leg of your journey with yet another change in perspective. After seeing Cinque Terre from the land and the rail, you will witness the natural landscape from the water. Hop aboard a 90-minute boat cruise and admire spectacular views of Cinque Terre along with the delightful village of Portovenere from the sea. After the cruise, head to La Spezia where your coach will be waiting to take you back to Milan.
