Day Trips from Normandy

Went with my mom and little bro. The bus was super comfy, and the AC was a total lifesaver since it was suuuper hot out. Giverny was honestly like walking into a painting, flowers EVERYWHERE. Versailles was packed (guess that's normal), but our guide, Jerome, kept us moving and gave us cool facts. Lunch at the old mill = wow, so French, even if my bro hated the cheese. Would recommend, but wear sneakers, so much walking!

Beautiful walk through the gardens of monet, I recommend for those who do not have so much knowledge the guided tour to learn about the life and work of the artist.

An excellent guide. Efficient travel arrangements and a beautiful garden. The only problem was the large number of people at the house and garden.

Loved that we were able to explore at our own pace. It was raining in the morning, so the afternoon half day trip was ideal! Not many poeple were there, and it definitely felt like the right amount of time.

Visited with my husband and our two small kids. The gardens were EPIC! Both kids actually liked it (rare). We packed a picnic, sat by the water, and just people-watched. House was a bit cramped but the guide at the door was super sweet, chatted with my daughter about Monet. Would go again if we’re back in Paris.

Of all the tours that we did in our two weeks in Paris, the Normandy tour was the longest and best. Philippe was an excellent tour guide. He managed the right amount of history, interesting facts and humor to make the tour interesting. He gave us enough free time to explore a museum and the monument.

The day began early with a few hours in the van from Paris — a perfect opportunity to catch up on some sleep. Our guide, Nicholas, was exceptional. His deep knowledge extended far beyond World War II history; he also shared fascinating insights about the region’s nature, history and culture. He combined expertise with warmth and a great sense of humor, making the tour both engaging and enjoyable. Even though our teenagers understand English quite well, and our youngest speaks only a little, Nicholas managed to keep everyone interested and involved throughout the day. It was a long day, but every minute was worth it. A truly memorable, educational, and entertaining experience for the whole family. A perfect break from the intensity and bustle of Paris. 5/5 — without hesitation and a big thank you Nicholas!
