Overlooking the sparkling turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea, Tulum is an ancient walled city, perhaps one of the last ones ever built by the Mayans. The archaeological site, with all of Tulum’s ruins, is located 81 miles south of Cancun. Follow your guide and learn about the key landmarks here including the Temple of Frescoes, El Castillo and the Temple of the Descending God.
Spend about an hour exploring the ruins on your own and enjoy the stunning views of the Caribbean Sea. You will even have some free time to explore the beach in Tulum. Later, make a quick stop at a natural sinkhole, Cenotes Dos Ojos, where you can treat yourself to a relaxing swim.
