Get to see pristine beaches, hidden coves, and stunning sea cliffs, as well as diverse flora and fauna. It’s a moderate to difficult trek that requires a good level of fitness and endurance. The trail is well-marked but can be rocky and steep in some sections, so it's important to wear sturdy hiking shoes and bring plenty of water and snacks.

Starting at Tonnara di Portoscuso, you and your guide will travel on volcanic soil surrounded by verdant vegetation and the ruins of former military outposts. Fishing for tuna is still a thriving industry at this tonnara in Porto Paglia, a town with a rich maritime history. The island's rich history is reflected in the scenery in the form of picturesque coves and Spanish structures. Flora enthusiasts have the chance to witness both common Mediterranean scrubs and some unusual species, such as the mortar mushroom and the Carpobrotus, also known as Fico degli Ottentotti.
