Egypt and the House of Alba
Walk through a temporary exhibition that commemorates the centenary of one the greatest discoveries in world archaeology. It focuses on the important role played by the 17th Duke of Alba, as he organized lectures for the renowned archaeologist Howard Carter on the tomb of Tutankamon in Madrid in 1924 and 1928. With original documents, artistic objects, photographs, and unpublished pieces discover the close relationship between the Duke and the archaeologist.
