Das Museum selbst ist ein vortreffliches Beispiel für den Wunsch nach einem modernen Selbstverständnis der Franzosen und gleichzeitig dem Erhalten und Weitertragen der europäischen Kultur. Weniger gut ist leider der Übergang der einzelnen Räume gelungen. Die Navigation muss besser werden. Ansonsten wenn es schon einen Bereich zum Islam gibt, sollte es natürlich, aus historischen und aktuellen Gründen einen jüdischen und israelischen Bereich geben.

Wir kamen im Oktober und es war der perfekte Zeitpunkt für einen Besuch. Es war nicht so überfüllt wie in den Hochsommermonaten. So konnten wir in aller Ruhe stöbern und uns leichter bewegen. Es war das erste Mal, dass wir aus den USA kamen und die vielen Werke berühmter Künstler und historischen Gegenstände sahen, die wir bisher nur aus Büchern, Filmen oder den sozialen Medien kannten, und es war erstaunlich. Alles wurde lebendig und man konnte die Tiefe und das Gefühl sehen, das jedes Stück einzigartig darstellt. Wir verbrachten 5,5 Stunden damit, alle Etagen und beliebten Attraktionen zu sehen.
