Your Experience
Your Experience
Walk along the sinister streets with a cloaked tour guide at the head of your group, as you head to your first destination, the Blair Street Underground Vaults. Descend underground and pass the dimly-lit caverns as your guide fills the night with ghoulish tales of torture, witchcraft, and vengeful spirits that walk the streets at night.
You’ll then be taken to the Canongate graveyard, the resting place of many famous figures of Edinburgh. Gasp at the odd mix of personalities here, like Adam Smith, the father of economics, David Rizzio, the confidant of Mary Queen of Scots, and James Douglas, the infamous cannibal of the Canongate!
*Did You Know?
James Douglas was known as the “infamous cannibal of the Canongate” for having slaughtered a young scullion at age 10. He then went on to roast him alive on a spit and started feasting on him before being discovered!*
