As you take the exclusive stroll through the famous towers of the Sforza castle and the Battlements, learn about the castle's astounding history from your learned guide. Explore the walls, pathways, and ramparts of the castle which are generally not open to the general public. As you go forward and hear the mesmerizing stories of the castle, don’t miss out on the castle’s courtyard. Enjoy the wonderful skyline of Milan as you make your way to the highest part of the castle, from where you can witness the majestic Duomo cathedral from afar and the sight of the rest of the castle from some of the most unique angels.
Inside the belly of the beast
The castle was first a defense fortress to the Visconti family before it was acquired by the Duchy of Milan who used it as a Renaissance court and finally the castle was used as a precious treasure chest. To add some spooky spice to your experience, visit the room of the falcons which was once covered in velvet walls and embroidered with silver, and hear the stories about the mummified falcon that is stored in the underground warehouse of the castle. Finally, end the tour by visiting the guard room, inside the “Torrione dei Carmini” where you will get the chance to see the authentic recreations of the weapons used in history.
