Walking into Bran Castle feels like stepping into a medieval story. The winding stone staircases lead to hidden passageways that were once secret routes within the castle walls. As you climb, you stumble upon rooms filled with ancient weapons—crossbows, swords, and helmets that whisper tales of long-forgotten battles. With an expert guide leading the way through the dim corridors and Gothic archways, feel the eerieness set in.
In the dungeon, history turns darker. A glance into this shadowy space reveals chilling remnants of medieval cruelty. Spiked chairs, rusted cages, and other torture instruments tell the grim tale of how prisoners, including Vlad the Impaler himself, endured their days in captivity.
The remains of royalty
Upstairs, a different world unfolds. Queen Marie's chambers showcase a softer side of the castle's history, with wooden furniture, floral designs, and a bed fit for royalty. A long wooden table stands ready in the dining room, flanked by rustic chairs and clay plates.
