A Ringside View of Sumo Wrestling
Step within the hallowed halls and prepare to be awestruck by the raw power and discipline of the Rikishi, or Sumo wrestlers, as they vigorously engage in their morning training for approximately an hour. Your day commences with a cordial meet and greet by a knowledgeable staff and guide at the entrance of the Sumo room. They'll provide a concise yet comprehensive briefing of the precautions to be observed during your visit.
Immersive Experience with Expert Insights
As the echoes of the wrestlers' grunts fill the room, a guide will help you appreciate the nuances of the practice session. Among the thundering slaps, the agile footwork, the stablemaster's conversations, the unique Sumo stances, and the wrestlers' unyielding spirit, you'll discover a millennia-old tradition that began as a form of entertainment for Shinto deities. To etch this distinctive experience further into your memory, stay until the end of the practice to capture a group picture with the Sumo wrestlers.
