I joined the Great Ocean Road Day Tour led by Jimmy Chen on 11 Mar 2025, and it was an amazing experience! Jimmy was sincere, caring, and full of hospitality, making everyone feel welcome and well looked after throughout the day. His knowledge about the Great Ocean Road and its iconic stops, like the Twelve Apostles, added so much depth to the tour. Jimmy’s friendly and attentive nature made the trip enjoyable and stress-free. I highly recommend this tour, especially with Jimmy as your guide—it’s a fantastic way to explore one of Australia’s most stunning landscapes. Thank you, Jimmy, for a memorable day!

Thoroughly enjoyed myself on this tour!! Jimmy was an extremely friendly and knowledgeable tour guide who made us all feel comfortable and ensured we had enough time to sightsee. He also brought us to an additional place since we had additional time and we spotted wild kangaroos! Jimmy did his best to ensure we experience the great ocean road fully, truly appreciate that! Safe and comfortable driving too. The reverse itinerary made so much sense as well - not much crowd at 12 apostles! Overall, highly recommended!!! Glad that I signed up for this :)

A whole day in nature with breathtaking views of the ocean and coastal cliff and rainforest walks with wildlife encounters all together with lovely fellow tour guests and under the expert guidance of our tour guide and superb driver Marty! The morning coffee and lunchtime stops were excellent too. I'd do it all again tomorrow!

We had Chris as our tour guide, we absolutely loved him!! He was polite, knowledgeable, funny and very friendly. He was very much interested in teaching us about the ecosystem and was very vocal about preservation so that future generations can experience these things as well which we appreciated immensely, always had a bin for rubbish and showed us SO many things! On the tour we got to see a wild wallaby with a baby Joey in its pouch, koalas, kangaroos, magpies, several species of birds, took us to beautiful beaches, sights I never even knew existed! The experience was so delightful and informative, we learned the history of so many places, it truly was an honor to have Chris as our tour guide!! We highly recommend this tour and IF you get Chris…. You’re in for a delightful day!

We booked this tour based on the reviews, small tour size, and reverse itinerary - and I am so glad we did!! This tour is wonderful! Our guide Pete set the tone right away for a fun, educational, and respectful day. He did everything he could to ensure we saw everything we wanted to see (including several koalas and kangaroos) and taught us a lot about the area. The itinerary is well thought out and we were able to see all of the highlights with very few other people around (in some cases, just our small group). This was a highlight on our first trip to Australia and one of the reasons we are inspired to come back someday! Thank you Pete and Hit the Road Tours!

Marty was a brilliant host, he was knowledgeable and kept us all entertained. Wasn’t sure what to expect on this trip, but thoroughly enjoyed it! A full packed day exploring the coast and seeing the kangaroos and koalas in the wild. I was also lucky to share the trip with a great group of people too. An absolutely exceptional day along the spectacular Great Ocean Road. Our group was just ten people and it was fabulous having conversations with like minded travelers from all over the world. We also had koala, bird and kangaroo sightings! Our guide, Wayne, was wonderful and we loved that he did all the driving, allowing us to relax and enjoy! I highly recommend this tour!

Booked this tour based on Trip Advisor and yes it definitely did not disappoint! Went with my husband together with a small group in a comfortable van for the day. Trip was amazing, Chris was our tour guide and he was absolutely fun, brilliant, and keeps the whole trip exciting. We were initially planning to rent a car and do the trip on our own but we are soooo glad we booked this trip because Chris drives well, knows the best route, the best timings, and the best photo spots. Absolutely highly recommended!

Chris was our guide who offered a wealth of information, shared experiences of Australia past and present. The trip had many stops for us to view and experience the breath taking scenery. It was a full day! We saw kangaroos in the wild, amazing!

The four of us took a private tour with Pats. We arrived on a cruise ship and were picked up at the cruise terminal. Since we had to be back on ship at 10 pm, Pats worked around our schedule and redesigned the tour to our wishes. We visited the 12 Apostles and drove down the beautiful Great Coastal road, making some stops for some beautiful pictures. We really wanted to see kangaroos and koalas in the wild and Pats was able to spot them. We even spotted a Kookaburra at Teddys Lookout. Although we skipped hiking through the forest, she gave us a wonderful drive by tour of Melbourne and a walking tour of the murals in downtown Melbourne. It was a full day but Pats did a wonderful job keeping it lively. She worked around our schedule and got us back in time to board our ship.

Kevin picked me up on time, early in fact, from my hotel in Melbourne at 6:30 AM. It was a long day but it went so well. There was time to doze on the trip to the 12 Apostles. We stopped for breakfast at a small cafe after 1.5 hours. We missed the crowds. There were multiple stops on the way back along the coast. Kevin kept us informed about the all important toilet stops and lunch places. Be aware that there are no toilets at the 12 Apostles so go when your guide tells you. We saw koalas and kookaburras. I traveled solo but the other passengers in the van were friendly so it made for a fun day out of Melbourne.
