This project has a large amount of involvement from Tina Turner herself, who at a recent event said that the project brought her out of retirement. The musical was made with her blessing and features many of her best songs. The show is a must-watch for anyone familiar with the book written by Katori Hall and of course, Tina Tuner’s music because it highlights the often-overlooked personal struggles of the artist behind the music.

The Story

The story follows the life of Tina Turner, right from her beginnings in Nutbush, Tennessee, all the way to her relationship with Ike Turner and eventual comeback in her 40s. The musical shows us Tina's tryst with abuse and horror from her husband which finally ended in a divorce, after which she struggled to make it in the industry. The musical highlights her ability to overcome obstacles as she went on to become a solo rock 'n’ roll star.

My wife and I live in Orlando, Florida and were in London prior to taking a cruise. While here, we decided to catch a show. The theater was small and quaint, the guest that set near us very personable, and most importantly the Tina Turner show unbelievable. The 3 hours flew by and the cast members were phenomenal. We've seen shows all over the US, one show in London 2 years ago, and this is at the top of the list. I highly recommend if you are in London to catchvthis show. Truly unbelievable.

It was a great musical with outstanding artists 🎶🎵 We had a very nice evening with excellently sung well-known songs by Tina Turner!

It was just perfect from the handling to the show, really great. As a longtime Tina Turner fan, the show is of course really breathtaking, you feel so connected to Tina. It was amazing. I was totally thrilled.

Fantastic show! Tina was entertaining with an amazing and talented cast. The theatre had a joyful atmosphere and whole surrounding theatre district a fun experience.
