Explore the Rialto Market

Proceed to Campo San Giacomo di Rialto, passing along the Rialto Bridge, the oldest of the four bridges spanning the Grand Canal in Venice, Italy. Walk through the bustling market, where you will explore the food benches, learn about seasonal products and discover local recipes. The guide will share interesting facts related to the market and the daily lives of the locals. Get an in-depth perspective as you see the city through a Venetian's eyes.

Enjoy Cicchetti and Local Drinks

After the market exploration, head to a hidden and stunning wine bar that has been around for centuries. Enjoy a welcome toast and some traditional tapas. The second stop will be to try the Venetian Baccalà, the most beloved fish by locals. Next, delight your palate with regional cured meats and cheeses, accompanied by another glass of wine. Taste cicchetti (sliced bread or polenta) topped with various ingredients, mainly strong-flavored fish but also vegetables, cheese, and cured meat. You will have two drinks: one glass of regional wine and one spritz. Several samples will be sufficient to replace a full meal. Most of the food is pleasant for all palates, including cheese, cold cuts, and fish. However, whenever possible, challenge yourself by trying some intimidating samples, such as lagoon crabs or veal offal.

Hear Stories about Venice and Enjoy a Sweet Ending

All along, your guide will share stories and facts to help you understand Venice and the lives of Venetians. You can also get reliable advice on what to do in Venice and the surrounding areas. To end your tour, stop at a pastry shop for a tiramisu or Buranelli cookie as a sweet farewell.
