    Getting started

Arrive at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya as early as possible, ideally by 8am, to secure the best viewing spots. The earlier you arrive, the better your chances of finding a perfect spot in the General Admission zones and settle in for an action-packed weekend surrounded by passionate fans.

    What to expect

Prime viewing spots: The Circuit de Catalunya is a hilly track, and General Admission areas feature rolling hills that provide excellent elevated viewing points.

Flexible viewing: Move around designated General Admission areas to experience the race from different angles. These open-air spaces provide dynamic views, but seating is not assigned, so finding a good spot early in the day is key.

Trackside features: Enjoy these features with your general admission three-day pass

Fan zone: The fan zone has interactive exhibits, entertainment, and driver appearances!

Food & drinks: A variety of food stalls to keep you fueled.

TV screens in sight: Follow every moment of the race in real-time with 8 large TV screens along the general admission area.

    Wrapping up

As the final lap concludes, take your time before leaving to avoid the rush. Enjoy a relaxed meal, explore merchandise stalls, or soak in the post-race atmosphere while the crowds thin out.

  • What to bring

    • Umbrellas and camping chairs are allowed in General Admission zones if they don’t obstruct views.

    • Feel free to bring soft drinks (up to 1.5L in plastic bottles or tetra-packs) and a picnic.

    • Wear sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses—most areas are uncovered.

    • Comfortable walking shoes are recommended for walking to different areas.

    What’s not allowed

    • Backpacks over 15L, suitcases, trolleys, and camping gear are not permitted.

    • Drones and professional audio-visual equipment are restricted.

    • Cans, glass, metal bottles, and PET bottles over 1.5L are not allowed.

    • Musical instruments, laser pointers, and air horns are banned.

    • Umbrellas, parasols, and camping gear are not allowed outside General Admission zones.

    Accessibility

    • General Admission areas are on uneven terrain, which may not be suitable for all guests.

    • Restrooms, food stands, and merchandise stalls may be a short walk away.

    Additional information

    • The Circuit de Catalunya is hilly! For the best views, head to the strip in front of Grandstand L or the banked hill around Turn 3, where you can see huge sections of the track.

    • Bring earplugs, ear muffs, or noise-canceling headphones as the noise the cars make while whizzing past can be extremely loud

    • The venue is huge, and uncovered seating means full sun exposure—sun protection is a must! The races take place under the Spanish sun at the height of summer, so come prepared for a comfortable experience.

    • Bring an umbrella—it provides shade and helps secure your viewing spot.

    • Expect large crowds, especially near popular viewing areas like Turns 6-8.
