The 1:4 guide-to-customer ratio promises personal attention, allowing your climb to be tailored to your skill level, whether you're a novice or an expert. Find yourself challenged by steep ice walls and overhangs, an adrenaline rush set against the backdrop of the breathtaking panorama of the Fox Glacier and surrounding landscapes. Remember to hydrate frequently as you ascend, the crystal-clear water in your bottle is sourced from the glacier itself, adding a touch of glacier magic to your adventure.

What to bring

  • Clothing: Bring along your warm upper-body clothing (preferably 3-4 layers), leggings or light trousers, sunglasses, and sunscreen.

  • You can also bring your essential medication, water bottle, drinks and snacks.

What's not allowed

  • Wearing jeans is not allowed.

  • Safety is a priority so this experience is restricted to guests under the age of 13 years and weighing more than 116kg.

  • Large bags and drones are not allowed.

  • There is a 3 kg or 6.6 lbs limit per passenger for carry-on baggage.

  • Please note that guests must be very good in English in order to participate in this experience as the instructions will be given by the guide in English.

  • A good fitness requirement is needed for this tour. Good fitness for this trip is a level of fitness sufficient to ascend and descend 1000m+ over 8 hours or more carrying a pack 12kg (26lb) or more over multiple days.
