Event schedule
Event schedule
Day 1: Nov 1
9am to 11:30am
Free Practice: These are initial sessions across all tiers - MotoGP™, Moto2™, and Moto3™. They are designed for riders to get familiar with the track, test different bike setups, and experiment without the pressure of setting a qualifying time. Since the lap times don't count towards Q1 and Q2 qualification, riders can focus on trying new things without worrying about their position on the grid.
1:15pm to 4pm
Practice Session: These sessions, held later on Friday afternoons, are more critical for qualifying. Riders will have a better understanding of the track and their bikes by this point, and they'll be aiming to set a fast time to qualify for the pole position and higher starting positions on the grid for the race.
Day 2: Nov 2
8:40am to 10:40am
Practice sessions: Additional practice following earlier Free Practice sessions. Riders fine-tune their motorcycles, refine racing lines, and adapt to track conditions. This time is crucial for optimizing performance before qualifying.
10:50am to 2:25pm
Qualifiers: Critical sessions determining starting grid positions for the race. Usually split into Q1 and Q2. Slower riders compete in Q1, with top performers advancing to Q2. Q2 features the fastest riders battling for pole position and top grid spots. Intense, high-pressure laps as riders push for their best times.
3pm onwards
Circuit festivities: This is the time for fans to enjoy themselves outside of the racing action. Race tracks typically organize various entertainment activities, promotional events, autograph sessions with riders, food festivals, merchandise sales, and other fun activities to keep fans engaged throughout the race weekend.
Day 3: Nov 3
10:40am to 10:50am
Warm-ups: This is a short, final practice session for riders to get their bodies and bikes warmed up before the main event.
11am to 11:35am
Rider Fan Parade: This is a fan favorite! Riders take to the track on their bikes, often slowly, allowing fans to get a closer look at them and the machines.
12pm to 3pm
Final races: This is the heart of the day! Moto3™, Moto2™, and MotoGP™ races take place one after another, with riders battling it out for victory. The starting grid positions are determined by the qualifying results from the previous day.
4:10pm onwards
Podium Ceremony: After each race, the top three finishers will head to the podium to celebrate their achievements. There will be champagne showers, trophy presentations, and the national anthems of the winning riders will be played.
