The Holocaust was a Nazi German campaign that led to mass genocide, impacting millions of European Jews, World War II war prisoners, and outcasts. The "Krakow and Auschwitz Tour" invites visitors to remember these lost souls and witness remaining relics for posterity.
Visit the Auschwitz and Birkenau Camps
Get picked up by an English-speaking driver and travel to the Auschwitz and Birkenau complex—a symbol of the Holocaust and come face-to-face with the darker side of Germany-annexed Poland. Step into Auschwitz, the Third Reich’s concentration and extermination camp network. Examine original documents, fences, watchtowers, and railway ramps used for the camp and its prisoners. In the museum, notice the remains and personal belongings, including the shoes and suitcases of the executed prisoners. Journey through Birkenau Camp and uncover the harsh reality of those who perished here.
Local Lunch and Krakow Sightseeing
Depending on the selected timing, enjoy a hearty Polish lunch either at Auschwitz or Krakow. Relish a soup, a main course, and a refreshing glass of water. Next, embark on a lighter adventure to historical attractions in Krakow with fascinating facts from your local guide. Marvel at the distinctive Town Hall Tower, Cloth Hall (or Sukiennice) which was once a major center of international trade, Krakow Barbican, a typical fortification dating back to the 15th century, and St. Mary’s Basilica, one of the best examples of Polish Gothic architecture. Explore the unique architecture in the Old Town and the features of Wawel Hill dating back to the 10th century. Some iconic structures at the hill include a cathedral, Wawel Royal Castle, and a cave flanking the Vistula River (said to be the Wawel Dragon’s former territory). Return to Warsaw after the tour.
