Unforgettable views, unmatched thrill
Imagine this: strapped securely to a professional skydiver, you hurtle out of a plane at 10,000 feet (or even 15,000 feet if you're feeling daring) with the mighty Franz Josef Glacier sprawling beneath you. Go for tandem skydiving over Franz Josef Glacier, an experience that will leave you breathless (in a good way) and with memories that last a lifetime. Franz Josef Glacier, nestled in New Zealand's Southern Alps is also a Te Wahipounamu World Heritage Area and one of the most stunning natural wonders on the planet. But what if you could see it from a whole new perspective? Tandem skydiving allows you to do just that. Secured to your instructor, you'll take the plunge, enjoying a freefall of 30-85 seconds unlike any other.
View of Southern Alps from above
The adrenaline rush is undeniable. As you hurtle towards the ground, the world seems to stretch out endlessly beneath you. The Franz Josef Glacier, with its crevasses and icy peaks, takes on a new majesty from this vantage point. You'll also see the lush rainforests, the Southern Alps rising into the distance, and a glimpse of the Tasman Sea sparkling on the horizon. But the freefall isn't all. Once the initial rush subsides, your instructor will deploy the parachute, and you'll gently drift down toward the earth, soaking in the panoramic views. This is your chance to truly appreciate the grandeur of Franz Josef and its surrounding landscape.
