You must have original hardcopies of all three documents:

Driving license from your country of origin (no temporary or paper licenses).

International Driving Permit (IDP) issued under the Geneva Convention 1949 (must be issued in your own country by an officially registered authority).

Important notes on IDPs:

IDPs must be issued by an approved organization in your country (e.g., AAA in the US, CAA in Canada).

Vienna Convention 1968 IDPs are NOT accepted in Japan.

The IDP must be in booklet form, not a digital or paper format.

If you cannot present a hard copy of your IDP on the day of the activity, you cannot participate and will not receive a refund.

Visitors must obtain the IDP before traveling—you cannot get a valid IDP in Japan.

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure they have valid documents. Failure to do so will result in denial of participation without a refund.
Visitors from Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium, Monaco, Taiwan, and Estonia, you must provide:

Visitors from China, Brazil, and Indonesia cannot drive in Japan, as these countries are not part of the 1949 Geneva Convention.
