Travel guides and tips

London is one of Europe’s most happening cities with plenty to discover and explore. To dive deep into landmarks from bygone eras and contemporary popular attractions and to get the best out of your time in London, guided tours are your best option.
From Wembley Stadium and Tower of London, to the Shakespeare Globe Theater or even the Warner Bros. Studios, you’re bound to become more familiar with London’s rich and diverse history with your expert local guide. They will accompany you on the tour and enlighten you with interesting stories about the landmark’s history, significance, cultural impact, and general trivia. Additionally, some of the best tours in London may include priority access to the city’s landmarks, allowing you to bypass the queues and save time.
Generally, guided tours in London have an expert guide fluent in English, but on some tours such as a Harry Potter film locations guided tour, you can also opt for languages such as French and Italian. You may also find some guided tours in German, Mandarin, French, and more languages, on purchase of the right experience.
It depends on what you opt for. While some tours offer audio guides for self-guided tours, others may offer an expert tour guide, and a few may offer both. For experiences which offer audio guides to London’s best attractions, you can pick it up at the entrance of the landmark and explore at your own pace, and gain insightful knowledge. Often your guides may be available in multiple languages like English, Italian, French, Mandarin, Spanish, and more. Tours such as the Churchill War Rooms tour with audio guide, a London self-guided audio tour, or the Westminster Abbey guided Houses of Parliament audio guide tour are some experiences worth trying out.
Some guided tours may include transport based on what you opt for, while others might not. Transport may vary from hotel pickups to coach transfers. You can check this information on your ticket. The ones that do include transfers are of two kinds: pick-up from a hotel or a common meeting point in the city. The Spirit of London tour and the London Experience with lunch are a few guided tours in London that include transport.
Yes. Most guided tours include skip-the-line entry to various attractions in London, allowing you to breeze past the long queues and enter with ease. Your guide would escort you past the queues and accompany you through the entry before diving into a fun and informative tour. Experiences such as Shakespeare Globe Theatre London, tickets for Royal Observatory Greenwich, and more are a few that offer skip-the-line entry.

Hello everyone, We liked it very much overall. We especially liked the background stories of the original buildings brought into the Harry Potter films. Hailey (I hope the name is spelled correctly) put a lot of knowledge and passion into the tour, making it special and giving London more than just the sights. The Warner Brothers Studio Tour is, in a nutshell, incredible.

This was the most fabulous 4-hour tour. Our guide was Natalie. She was attentive to every single person on the tour and made sure we always got the best viewing spots. Our ticket included a Thames ride in addition to the Crown Jewels, Tower of London and changing of the guard at Buckinghma Palace. I truly feel your visit of London would not be complete without it.

Our guide knew where and when to stand for seeing the guards. We enjoyed the stories - both historical and light hearted. I would have liked to have heard more of the guards playing but then we would have missed out hearing more from the guide.

Tom is an experienced Yeoman Warder. Small group and awesome history of the London Tower. The changing of the keys made the ending spectacular! Highly recommend this tour.

The tour was really great. We were met by the tour guide at Euston station and then took public transport to Warner Brother Studios as a group. On site, we were then split into 2 groups of 8 people each. Our tour guide David is a real Harry Potter fan and explained an insane amount of details and background information. After 1 1/2 to 2 hours there was a break of 1 hour. This was more than enough. After that the tour continued for about 1 1/2 hours. I can really recommend it. You simply learn so, so much. Afterwards, we were able to walk through the exhibition again on our own, which we did. In total, we were there for about 6 hours. It was great. Many thanks to the team and special thanks to David. It was great fun and encouraged us to read the books and watch the films again.
