Day 1: Visit the Auschwitz-Birkenau Concentration Camp
Begin your tour on the 1st day at Auschwitz I, a complex of over 40 concentration and extermination camps operated by Nazis during World War II. Watch a documentary movie about the history of concentration camps in Poland to get a better insight into what the rest of the tour has in store for you. This is followed by a guided tour of the permanent exhibitions and buildings at the Auschwitz I-Main Camp and camp buildings in Auschwitz II-Birkenau, 2km away. See the prisoner barracks, the unloading platform (ramp), and the ruins of gas chambers and crematoria II or III, all the while listening to your guide sharing interesting facts. Take a lunch break comprising of a lunchbox meal.
Day 2: 140 Meters Underground at the Wieliczka’s Salt Mine
On the 2nd day, visit the Wieliczka Salt Mine, one of the oldest working salt mines in the world which has produced table salt for over 700 years! Your guide will take you 140 meters underground for a 2.5-hour journey through over 2.5 kilometers long tourist. Along the way, admire the amazing carvings, statues, and chandeliers made of salt. Descent a wooden stairway that has 378 stairs to reach the 1st level. Once the tour ends, go back to the surface with a lift, thereby ending your 2-day tour to Auschwitz and Wieliczka Salt Mine.
