Ancient wonders of Mdina
Kick-start your guided tour in Malta with a comfortable AC pick-up from your hotel. With a friendly guide, get ready to experience some of the island's most interesting highlights renowned for its palaces and ancient heritage.
You'll have the chance to uncover the mysteries of St. Cataldus Catacombs. These catacombs were originally used as burial sites in ancient times and hold some of the earliest signs of Christianity in Malta. Catch sight of beautifully crafted graves, some with protective canopies, while others are carved right into the rocky surroundings.
Lunch & scenic delights
Later in the day, immerse yourself in the scenic beauty of the sea from Dingli Cliffs. This is the highest vantage point on the Maltese island, situated approximately 253 meters above sea level. After a leisurely lunch paired with a glass of wine, stroll through the San Anton Botanical Gardens, now serving as the residence of the Maltese President.
Finish your tour by visiting Malta's biggest church, the Sanctuary Basilica of the Assumption of Our Lady. It's often called the Mosta Dome, renowned for a remarkable event during World War II when a bomb pierced the dome but miraculously did not explode, sparing the lives of the people inside the church.
