Mega Canyoning: What is it?
Mega Canyoning is one of the most exciting experiences in Braga, Portugal that combines the thrill of nature adventure, with family fun! This experience involves walking along the stretch of a river while treading the natural landscape. It involves exciting experiences like swimming in natural pools, jumping into lagoons from cliffs, exploring the heights of the landscape, abseiling, with a guide, and using safety gear and techniques at the end of the canyoning route.
What to Expect in Your Activity
The experience starts at the trails of Peneda-Gerês National Park, as the group walks through exploring the local flora and fauna. Then the adventure begins as we go canyoning along the Varziela River, an experience for those with a bit of adventure. The group goes rappelling along two trails into the lakes of Varziela River, swimming across the natural pools, jumping into lagoons, and tobogganing, based on the weather.
The whole 6-hour experience comes at a glorious crescendo with the abseiling, along with your certified guide, and safety gear to enjoy the setting sun and the beautiful landscape.
