Your Experience
Your Experience
Gear up to experience the lovely Cappadocia, from its amazing landscape to the historic towns that make up the region. Keep your camera at the ready as you take in the panoramic views of Goreme Esentepe, overlooking the town of Uchisar as well as the valleys full of fairy chimneys. Follow your guide through the Goreme Open Air Museum, an impressive collection of churches, chapels, and monasteries that date back to the middle ages. Look up and marvel at the lovely frescoes here, beautifully preserved through the centuries. Walk the moon-like landscape at the Devrent Valley and see the iconic three-headed fairy chimney at Monks Valley (Pasabag).
Travel back in time as far back as 3000 BC and visit the town of Avanos. Scattered with tiny pottery workshops, the town is most famous for its clay that is sourced from the Red River which runs straight through the heart of the town. Your guide might even take you to visit a pottery workshop and see the craftsmanship on display. You'll also get to see the rock formations known as the Three Beauties. An iconic symbol and a landmark of the town of Urgup, these three rocks are said to represent a runaway princess, her husband (that no one approved of) and their little child. Don’t forget to ask your guide for the full story!
