It was delightful. A much more natural setting than the Blue Lagoon. While the springs were not uncomfortably crowded, the dressing area was and offered no privacy (being an American and modest, this was not comfortable). We loved the pool bar, but the prices were excessive. A beer was almost $20 US and a Diet Coke $14 US. It didn't prevent us from enjoying however. One absolute must...you absolutely need swim shoes. I wore flip flops and one broke. The terrains between the pools was lava rocks and really hurt. Still I would recommend, we enjoyed it.

Visiting Hvammsvik yesterday was a massive highlight of our time in Iceland. The setup of the different temperature pools right on the edge of the ocean is spectacular! You get the amazing contrast of the hot geothermal water and the crisp sea air. The facilities are very clean, the staff is welcoming, and the vibe is purely relaxing. It’s absolutely worth the drive out from Reykjavík. Highly recommend

We have had the privedge of travleing to Icleand 10 times. We discovered this hidden gem a couple of years ago, and now we go everytine we are here. This is our favoirte hot springs BY FAR! ANd yes we have been to numerous other ones but this one is special. It is a must do in our opinion! Also has a great cafe.

Yummy fish soup to start. Beautiful location, lovely hot springs. Never long enough soak time, but was rewarded with a rainbow 🌈 when I left. Thank you for a nice, relaxing afternoon.

Overall a very nice experience. Top situation close to the sea/fjord. Expensive compared to i.e. Laugarás Lagoon, where you get nicer architecture for your money. Cleaning of changing rooms and towel service at the sauna should be given more attention. You suggest to add photos, but cellphones are not allowed in the baths. Although many people don't follow this rule and like to call home on video to show them sitting in a hot pot sipping a beer...
