Pro tips to help you make a pick
Active-duty US military personnel and veterans can avail complimentary admission upon presenting valid id. Spouses of active-duty service members are eligible for a 20% discount on admission tickets.
The Tour of Concorde experience is not included with general admission tickets to Intrepid Museum.
The museum is mostly wheelchair and pram/stroller accessible. However, some parts of the experience such as the submarine, gun tubs, anchor chain room, captain's bridge are not accessible.
Certain areas inside the USS Growler exhibit are narrow and may not be suitable for those with claustrophobia.

A floating museum inside the USS Intrepid, the Intrepid Museum is a confluence of history, innovation, and modern warfare. From the F-14 Tomcat seen in Top Gun and the supersonic Lockheed A-12 used in the Cold War to the British Airways Concorde, the Intrepid Museum has an impressive collection of military vehicles.
The USS Intrepid was used in many wars including the Vietnam War, the Cold War and World War II and has survived five kamikaze attacks and a torpedo attack.
Apart from an impressive collection of aviation and maritime vessels, the Intrepid Museum is also home to NASA’s Space Shuttle Enterprise.
The Intrepid’s deck is around 900 feet long, which is more than three football fields put together.
The Intrepid has been featured in numerous Hollywood films, including Men in Black and The Avengers.

Main Entrance
The Intrepid Museum has only one main entrance located at walking distance from the 12 Av/W 46 St bus stop. It is best to book your tickets online to avoid standing in long queues, especially during weekends and the peak season.
The Intrepid Museum's opening hours:
- Spring and summer (April 1 to September 30): 10 am to 5 pm (Mon to Fri) and 10 am to 6 pm (Weekends and public holidays. Last entry is at 4 pm.
- Fall and winter (Oct 1 to Mar 31): 10 am to 5 pm everyday including weekends. Last entry is at 4 pm.
- The Intrepid Museum is closed on Christmas Day and Thanksgiving.
