Ho prenotato questa esperienza per i miei nipoti che volevano davvero partecipare. Il viaggio in treno è stato piacevole. La campagna. Il villaggio di Amamour è piccolo, ma abbiamo apprezzato il caffè e la torta del bar. E l'atmosfera che danno i paesini.

Il treno a vapore è stato molto divertente, con molte persone a bordo, e i volontari sono stati eccellenti e cordiali. Jeff nella nostra carrozza era a 5 stelle e John nella carrozza accanto ha fatto un commento meraviglioso per tutto il treno. Ad Amamoor il verde era allestito con bancarelle e cibo per darci il benvenuto. Il paesaggio non è stato straordinario, ma è stata comunque una gita divertente.

La gita, che ho fatto con altri tre adulti, è stata buona, ma tutti noi abbiamo trovato le guide scortesi, accondiscendenti e offensivi. Mi rendo conto che si tratta di volontari, ma questo non giustifica la vera e propria maleducazione. Ci sono diversi esempi. Ad esempio, qualche tempo prima della partenza del treno ho pensato di scendere per andare in bagno. La porta aperta più vicina era nella carrozza successiva e c'erano alcune persone che riempivano i corridoi della mia carrozza. La guida della carrozza accanto si è rifiutata di farmi usare la "sua" porta, dicendomi che avrei dovuto aspettare di poter uscire dalla porta della mia carrozza. Altri esempi. Quando stavo salendo sul treno dall'altra parte, una guida mi ha detto: "Oh, lei è il tipo che si aggira per il treno in movimento per andare in bagno". Ho risposto gentilmente "credo che mi stia confondendo con qualcun altro" - non ho mai lasciato il mio posto quando il treno era in movimento. Si girò verso l'altra guida e disse a voce alta: "A me sembrano tutti uguali". Come ho detto, ci sono molti altri esempi di sgradevolezza che hanno rovinato il viaggio al mio gruppo. Temo che queste guide abbiano bisogno di un corso di educazione.
