Everything. Layout, music, info. Would recommend it.

Enter the Mind, Mythos, Muse exhibition for a self-paced tour. The exhibition has four themes, which will familiarise you with the anecdotes, inspiration, and work of one of fashion’s greatest legends and queer icons of the late 20th century.

Mythos

Mythos exhibits his unnamed collection between 2010-2011, which was posthumously named Angels and Demons. It borrows from the Christian iconography of the Byzantine Empire and combines it with the Italian Renaissance. It is a true reminder of McQueen’s combination of artistic tradition and values and his attempt at portraying a multifaceted vision. It also includes several other collections, including Eye (2000) and Neptune (2006).

Fashioned Narratives

Fashioned Narratives attempts to tell you a story of strife and struggle that made the man behind the fashion and flair. It explores the themes of tradition, discovery, metamorphosis, and violence. It includes several collections like The Widows of Culloden 2006-2007), based on the storming and burning of the houses of the Jacobite armies, The Girl Who Lived in the Tree (2008-2009), inspired by a fairytale about a princess who lived on tree branches and explored the life and fashion of Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth and In Memory of Elizabeth How, Salem, 1692 (2007-2008), paying tribute to one of the women who was executed during the witch trials.

Evolution and Existence

Evolution and Existence circle around the themes of life cycles, nature, evolution, and death. It explores the fragility and the futility of the human condition. It showcases a few of his later works right before his premature death such as The Horn of Plenty (2009-2010), Sarabande (2007), and The Dance of the Twisted Bull.

You can opt for a quieter, relaxing experience during one of the silent hours, where the visual effects will be dulled, and the sounds will be mellower.
