As east as east goes

Exchange your voucher for a rail pass and reserve your seats at the Narita or Haneda Airport. You're all set to ride some of the coolest trains (and buses) ever, including the superfast bullet train 'Shinkansen', limited express trains and more.
Depending on what you picked, spend the next 5 days getting around either the Nagano and Niigata areas or the Tohuko region. Visit beautiful shrines like Togakushi-Jinja in Nagano, hop on a train to the famed Sake brewery in Niigata or check out the Hirosaki Castle in Tohuko. Enjoy every bit of your getaway without any worry about getting around.
Oh, and choose to stay lost in the moment as you hop from cherry blossoms to mountains, on bullet trains at that.
