Kennedy Space Center was AWESOME! I was all choked up and crying over the tremendous experience feeling like I was flying out in space and seeing nebulae and then the wall movie screen lifted up and I walked out next to a REAL space shuttle with its bay doors open. It was so moving and music soaring and I just can't describe it.

The Explore tour was great. Our guide, Patrick, did a super job. If we had not spent the extra money and booked that tour, however, the visit would have been very unsatisfactory. We felt the Visitor Center was just another Disneyworld or Universal Studios site. It was way too crowded to the point that we just got tired of waiting in lines and gave up and left.

David our bus tour guide was so amazing! He was a wealth of knowledge. It was interesting to see all the stuff up close and personal, but Kennedy is definitely too big to do in one day. The food ordering system was ridiculous. The whole restaurant was waiting forever after ordering.

The guide John was awesome and Daniel did a great job driving. John was clear and concise with the fact and even was entertaining with a bit of humour My only complaint were the passengers that can't keep quiet...but what can you do??

Our group was made up of 2 healthy senior couples. We have never been to Kennedy Space Center but had far lower expectations than what we actually experienced. Parking was simply and very close to the main entrance. The moment we walked up to security we knew we would be safe and could easily approach any security person with questions. They were so friendly. The exhibits were amazing and the presentation was as first class as any exhibit or ride we have loved over the years at Walt Disney World. I do wish we would have thought to take our kids to see NASA and Kennedy Space Center when they were young, and we will be encouraging them to go now. There certainly was more to see than we could see in one day. For someone not interested in the space program, past, present and future, they could walk through most of the exhibits and be ready to go in 5 or 6 hours. But are there really people who would not be itnerested? I was so amazed at how much our group had to rush past in order to see as much as we could before the center closed down. After I complete this write up I will be checking the cost for an annual pass because I know that I want to go back at least 2 more times because I missed so much on this visit. I recommend Kennedy Space Center to everyone and don't forget purchase the $25 bus ticket for the longer bus tour. We saw the actually launch pads up close and heard so much from the tour guide we never would have picked up anywhere else.

Prepare for blast-off

Your space adventure begins with meeting your guide, who will be your mission control throughout the day. They'll provide insider tips and historical knowledge to enrich your experience at the Kennedy Space Center. First, head to the iconic Space Shuttle Atlantis. Get up close and personal with this spacecraft; its payload bay is open just as it was during missions. Feel the G-forces of a launch in a simulator, practice docking the International Space Station, or experience the weightlessness of space in a virtual spacewalk. Delve into the "Heroes and Legends" exhibit, and hear the stories of the brave men and women who have pushed the boundaries of space exploration.

Go beyond the exhibits

Hop aboard a special bus with a space expert guide. They'll whisk you past restricted areas, like the Vehicle Assembly Building where rockets are prepped for launch. See Launch Complex 39, where the Apollo missions blasted off, and witness the future of space travel at the launch pads used by SpaceX and ULA. This experience offers 1-day or 2-day ticket options. The 1-day option is perfect for a whirlwind adventure, while the 2-day ticket allows you to delve deeper into the exhibits. Round-trip transfers from Orlando are available with an upgrade for a hassle-free journey directly to the Kennedy Space Center.
