We had the experience while the sun was setting and to look at the city from above at night. Fortunately, we didn't have to queue. The view from the KL Tower is astonishing. In total we were almost 2 hours on the viewing platform and enjoyed it very much. The description, what is included, is in my opinion a little misleadingly written. "Entry to Skybox" apparently only means that you can enter by means of a ticket, which can be purchased separately on site at the observation deck. We have decided not to buy this separately, because the view and the possibility to take photos are also very good anyway. I would like to point out that the lighting on the way to the parking lot is unfortunately not sufficient and suggest that the stairs be better marked or illuminated. The last step of a section was not recognisable because of the darkness and the scarce light, which is why my boyfriend sprained his ankle. This has nothing to do with our experience at the tower in and of itself, but perhaps this should be taken into account and implemented for the future.

The tower walk is a great experience, you get a good view walking round, you are secure in the harness but as there is no barrier you do get the sense you are free walking high up. I loved it when you walked on the glass section with the sensors so it sounds like the glass is cracking, glad I did this but was over way to soon

Amazing view from the observation deck!
  • KL views done right

Kuala Lumpur is known for its amazing skyline, but how do you see it all? Easy! Head to the KL Tower's Sky Deck and Observation Decks for views that will blow your mind. Both are super high up, at 300 meters to be exact, making them the ultimate lookout spot in the city.

The Sky Deck is an open-air platform, so you can get some fresh air and take incredible pictures while feeling the wind in your hair. You'll be able to see everything from up there, like the famous Petronas Twin Towers, all the other skyscrapers, and even some historical sites. If you you prefer something a little calmer, you can check out the indoor observation deck at 276 meters.
