Tea Ceremonies of the Samurai Era

Join a tea master in a 45-min private tea ceremony to experience the charm of small ceremonies that were popular in the Samurai period. Journey through the serenity of a traditional Japanese tea ceremony as the head oversees each step of the preparation process. You will enjoy matcha and sweets as you experience the harmony of seasons and flavors.

Tea and Sweets? It's a Date!

Enjoy 2 kinds of powdered green tea, thick and light, and dried traditional sweets made to suit the tea and to resemble the seasons in Japan. In your Japanese tea ceremony, you’ll find thick tea is common, but it's rare to find light tea in a cafe. Get involved and learn the way of making tea to realize the elegance and rarity of the tradition. While you can learn from your host how to make light tea, relish some thick green tea prepared by the master from Urasenke, one of the most famous tea schools in Japan.
