Museum galleries
The 12 museum galleries are chronologically arranged in an inspiring manner, narrating the story of humanity with an artistic filter. Through an incredible collection of art installations, each of these 12 chapters unveils commonalities that have existed throughout the history of humanity.
Exhibitions
Louvre hosts 4 temporary exhibitions every year. These exhibitions are the result of a unique collaboration between Abu Dhabi and France. In partnership with 13 French Museum partners, Louvre Abu Dhabi will bring together exemplary art for visitors to the Middle East.
'Post-Impressionism: Beyond Appearances' (October 16, 2024, to February 9, 2025) explores the revolutionary artistic shift between 1886 and 1905. The exhibition features over 100 works from artists like Van Gogh, Gauguin, Cézanne, and Seurat, who broke away from Impressionism's naturalism. Highlights include Van Gogh’s Bedroom at Arles, a vivid example of his expressive color techniques. Curated in collaboration with the Musée d'Orsay, this exhibition traces the evolution of post-impressionism into movements like Fauvism and Cubism.
